The founder of organised and competitive Street Football in Australia. Bringing the formats of X1, X2, X3, X5, & X7 to his home country through the founding of Contraband, Street Football Australia, Sydney Street Crew, Streetball, and the overarching Gone20 ecosystem. Australia's most successful Street Footballer, having won the vast majority of Street Football Australia tournaments, as well as captaining Australia's official 3v3 national team in the 2024 and 2025 World Cups, while also captaining Australia's official 7v7 National team in the 2025 7 Football FIF7 World Cup. Adding to his credentials, Tomislav has been built into the animated character "Slavi" in the animated TV series in development STREETBALL, which follows Sydney Street Crew in virtual form.
Built around an explosive playstyle. Utilising quick shifts of speed and momentum to create a goal scoring opportunity. Strong in both attack and defense creating an all round player who has the ability to use both left and right feet at the same capacity.
Tomislav built his whole vision of Sydney Street Crew around the great Street Kings, spending a decade building SSC into a worthy presence. The moment came full circle in the 2025 3X3 World Cup in Qingdao China where Sydney Street Crew were representing Australia and drawn into the group of death to face Street Kings who were representing Netherlands. This was the first and subsequently only meeting between the two clubs with founder Edward Van Gils present as he retired from competitive Street Football after this World Cup. The moment came as Sydney Street Crew triumphed 2-1 over who many believe to be the strongest Street Football team in the world. This showcased that Sydney Street Crew had reached the level Tomislav had initially set out to achieve, and to have this culminate in a match against the blueprint was the upmost honour.
