Growing up on the streets of Redfern and Newtown, Tyson developed his skills using only a ball and concrete walls for practice. After representing youth teams in England and France abroad, he returned to Australia to play for Newtown High School’s inaugural state squad. His club experience includes NPL2 stints with Balmain, Leichhardt, and Northern Tigers, leading into his current role as Target for Sydney Street Crew’s (Futsal). Whether competing in X3, X1, Futsal, or seven a side formats, he continues to perform for SSC, notably securing a fourth place finish at the X3 SFA event back in July 2026.
As a dedicated Target, his game hinges on raw pace and clinical finishing. He maintains elite close control in tight spaces to shield the ball, then uses his speed and power to beat defenders one on one. Tyson's physical strength plays a major role in his game, matched by the fact that he has the technical ability needed to consistently convert goal scoring opportunities.
