SYDNEY STREET CREW are champions of X3 June!
JUNE 2026, Street Football Australia hosted it's latest X3 (3v3) tournament, this time in a fully fledged winner stays format. It shouldn't be a surprise, but somehow Sydney Street Crew have continued to showcase their superiority in the Australian Street Football movement, by commandingly winning this tournament, jumping to a ridiculous reputation point lead over second place in the rankings, you could add the reputation points of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and SSC would still be 1450 points in the lead, that's how dominant SSC are right now.
SYDNEY STREET CREW HAVE LOCKED OUT 2026 SO FAR
We're now halfway through 2026, yes that's a crazy thing to say, but somehow it's true. For Street Football Australia this has been an ultra successful year, hosting X3, X2, & X1 tournaments, new faces entering the movement, and the elite end of the sport solidifying. One thing that has remained constant throughout the year is Sydney Street Crew, who have won absolutely every event so far, that's unheard of (in our short two year history). This X3 tournament was locked in with Sydney Street Crew, North Sydney FC, Futsal Kings, SSC Juniors, & the new club Gladiators. Probably our strongest lineup to date. What made the tournament so much greater was the Winner Stays format, basically, your team stays on the court until you lose, every win counts as a point, matches are first to 3 goals, or whoever is leading by the end of 5 minutes. If it's a draw the it goes down to 1v1 golden goal. The tournament was a two hour event, meaning you needed to rack up quite a few wins to walk away with the title. Sydney Street Crew immediately set the tone with 10 wins in a row, being on the court for close to an hour and a half, basically making it impossible for anyone to catch them. In the time that was left Gladiators made a run of their own to put 6 wins on the bounce together, locking down second place. The other three teams had to fight for whatever remained, SSC Juniors getting 2 wins in a row, Futsal Kings getting 1, and North Sydney FC leaving without a win.
OVERALL PLACEMENTS
1ST PLACE: SYDNEY STREET CREW
2ND PLACE: GLADIATORS
3RD PLACE: SSC JUNIORS
4TH PLACE: FUTSAL KINGS
5TH PLACE: NORTH SYDNEY FC
THE NEW FACES | GLADIATORS
As mentioned above, the Gladiators have entered Street Football Australia ready to compete for the title. Built by visionary Jarrod Clews as a Futsal club to challenge the best Australia has to offer, Gladiators seek to improve in any way possible, seeing X3, X2, & X1 being perfect formats to add to their competitive outlook for the future. Expect top see the Gladiators at many more Street Football Australia events, as their first attempt resulted in a second place finish in what was a stacked tournament. High hopes for Gladiators from the Street Football Australia team.
THE RANKING MOVEMENT
SSC have basically run off at the top at this point, meaning they are still 1st. Even though Futsal Kings finished 4th, they managed to leap over 2nd placed North Sydney FC who finished 5th in this event. With the 5th placed finish North Sydney FC have now dropped to 3rd place in the rankings. SSC Juniors have jumped up to 5th place in the rankings after a strong 3rd place result, showing that SSC's grassroots system is growing rapidly in strength. Gladiators with a huge 2nd place result have moved straight into 6th in the rankings. Heaps of movement going on, with a battle for 2nd place heating up.
