TLDR; Street Kings are the most iconic and respected team in Street Football. During the 2025 3X3 World Cup, SYDNEY STREET CREW defied the odds to beat Street Kings on the World Stage.

Everyone in Street Football knows Street Kings. They're consistently one of the strongest teams in the sport, and have been for the past two decades. So how did SYDNEY STREET CREW manage to take them on and come out victorious?

HOW THIS ALL LINED UP

Being a World Cup, there is always the chance you are drawn into a strong group, SSC were granted this luxury by being drawn into a group containing ONLY icons of the sport; PannaHouse from Denmark, Street Kings from Netherlands, and Jayzinho's crew from the USA. There it was, all lined up and ready to happen, only World Class opposition for Sydney Street Crew. Their first match of the tournament was against Street Kings, who had only just won the ISFA World Cup in 2024, so still in elite form. SSC don't have the luxury of competing at the top level all year round, so they have to be tactical in their approach to make it count against the greats like Street Kings.

THE RESULT

A completely unexpected 2-1 win to SYDNEY STREET CREW against a Street Kings that many see as the best in the world. The game was tight and intense throughout, feeling more like a cage fight than a football match, but that's real Street Football. It came down to SSC taking their 2 major chances and Street Kings missing a few of their own. In a 14 minute match that's all it comes down to sometimes, you have to be clinical up front and solid at the back. This time Sydney Street Crew took the victory. Overall a massive show of intent, showing Sydney Street Crew belong up there with the Worlds best, they just need more exposure to really lock in their potential to possibly become world leading.

RESPECT TO STREET KINGS

SYDNEY STREET CREW was heavily inspired by Street Kings since inception. The reason SSC focuses so much on the team and not the individual is because they followed the Street Kings blueprint until they began to forge their own path. This was a very meaningful victory for SSC as it highlighted to themselves that they have been successful. The result also shows the success of Street Kings in fostering an entire worldwide scene, even all the way down in Sydney Australia.

This was only one match, there will be many more intense battles in the future, let's see how the head to head looks in a few years.
